About the Centre:
The Mongolian Culture Centre was initiated by the Mongolian Embassy in Jakarta, the President of Jababeka Group, and Mongolia’s Cultural Envoy to Indonesia, Setiono Juandi Darmono. The centre was officially opened on November 26, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Mongolia and Indonesia [5].
Exhibits and Activities:
The centre features exhibits on Mongolian traditional dwellings, known as Ger, which is inscribed in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritages. Visitors can learn about Mongolian nomads’ history, culture, and lifestyle, as well as Mongolian spring games and cuisine. The centre also offers cultural performances, workshops, and classes, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in Mongolian traditions.
Design and Architecture:
The Mongolian Culture Centre is designed by Mongolian architects to resemble a traditional Mongol tent, synonymous with nomadic life. This unique design allows visitors to experience the authentic Mongolian culture and architecture.
